In this article, I, a WordPress developer from Philippines, will give reasons as to why it is still worth hiring a WordPress developer instead of using AI to create and help you with a new WordPress website. Every week, we see different posts on social media and even news outlets regarding the new AI hype, stating that AI might replace developers in the coming years, people turning into AI, creating websites, and even fully working SAAS ( Software as a Service).
Reasons why you still need a WordPress developer from the Philippines:

- Hosting management and setup
- Fixing and troubleshooting the website
1. Website maintenance
Once a WordPress website is up and running, AI can’t do maintenance to your website every month – not that I know of, or as far as I know, I don’t know if an AI service can do WordPress website maintenance. Doing WordPress website maintenance requires someone with experience for successful and error-free maintenance.
What to do with WordPress website maintenance
Website maintenance doesn’t only stop with website theme and plugin updates, it also includes website malware scanning, form testing to ensure there are no issues during form submission, and most importantly, sending of thorough report regarding what was done during the maintenance.
2. Hosting management and setup
No AI service that I know of can do hosting management and setup ( correct me if I’m wrong). Hosting setup includes new WordPress website setup, and fixing infected files is something arise along the way.
How about the creation and management of email accounts? For sure, an experienced WordPress developer can do it to,o and I am not sure if an AI service can do it for now.
3. Fixing and troubleshooting the website
What happens when a WordPress website experiences a plugin or theme conflict? How about the critical error of death? For sure, a WordPress developer needs to fix it. Fixing a broken WordPress website is not an easy task, so for sure an experienced WordPress developer is needed to fix it.

Just to make it clear, I support the usage of AI services. I am using it from time to time, fixing or even creating and updating codes with the help of AI services such as CHATGP.
